Marrone Organic Innovations Harvests $10M

Davis, California-based Marrone Organic Innovations, a developer of environmentally friendly, weed, plant disease and pest management products, has raised $10M in a Series B funding round for the company. Marrone, which announced the funding last week, said the round was led by Stuart Mill Venture Partners, with Contrarian Group also participating. The firm said Lawrence A. Hough of Stuart Mill has joined the company's board of directors. The round comes on top of $3.75M the firm raised in May of 2007. Marrone said the funding will go to fund development and commercialization of its pipeline of more than six natural pest management products. More information »
