Google Invests $10M For Geothermal Research
Google.org, Google's nonprofit arm, said Tuesday that it has invested $10M in investments and grants targeted at geothermal energy. According to Google, the investments included $6.25M in AltaRock Energy, $4M in Potter Drilling, and a $489,521 grant to Southern Methodist University's Geothermal Laboratory for geothermal research. AltaRock is based in Sausalito; Potter Drilling is based in Redwood City.
