UpTake Raises $10M For Travel Site

Palo Alto-based UpTake said this morning that the firm has raised $10M in a Series B funding. The round was led by Trinity Ventures and Shasta Ventures, along with other unnamed investors. The round brings the company's total raise to $14M. UpTake operates an online site for travel reviews and information, aggregating content from sites such as TripAdvisor, Expedia, Fodors, and other sites. UpTake said it will use the funding to expand into lodging, restaurants, activities, and other areas; to invest in its search technology; and for acquisitions. More information »
