Brightstorm Snags $6M
San Francisco-based Brightstorm, which is launching an online web site focused on video-based learning, said today that it has raised $6M in a Series A venture financing. The round came from KTB. Brightstorm said it is launching a new online learning network targeted at teens, who get access to subjects such as math, writing, history, and AP and SAT prep courses. The firm said its content has been designed and taught by expert classroom teachers. The firm's three co-founders are Jeff Marshall, Chris Fitzgerald Walsh, and Bumsoo Kim.
