Facebook Sharpens Ad Metrics Efforts
Facebook is sharpening its advertising efforts, by adding a number of new measurements to the firm's Facebook Ads program, the firm told its advertisers Wednesday. According to an email to advertisers using Facebook Ads, the firm has just added three new reports to better understand advertising on the site. The new reports allow users to better understand the demographics -- age, gender, and geographics -- of people who are clicking on Facebook ads; psychographic information such as what TV shows and music those people are interested in; as well as click through rates by user and social action. The firm said the three reports are the beginning of a number of new reports the firm is hoping to deliver to advertisers on the social networking site.
