SV Life Sciences Promotes Guyer

San Francisco- and Boston-based SV Life Sciences, a venture capital firm focused on the biotechnology and healthcare market, said Tuesday that it has promoted David R. Guyer, M.D., to Partner. Guyer has been at the firm since 2006 as a Venture Partner. Guyer sits on the boards of portfolio firms Opthotech, Lux Biosciences, Link Medicine, Neovista, and Neurotech, as well as other firms. He has previously served at Eyetech Pharmaceuticals, where he was co-founder and CEO; and also served as professor and chairman of the department of opthalmology at the NYU School of Medicine.
