Twitter Gets Hacked

High profile messaging and micro-blogging site Twitter was hacked Monday, when 33 of the firm's accounts were used by an unknown hacker. The accounts included the Twitter account of Barack Obama, Rick Sanchez, Fox News, and others. According to Twitter, the hack was a result of an individual hacking into support tools used by Twitter's customer support team. The new hack comes on top of a widespread phishing scheme on the site over the weekend, which redirected Twitter users to a false login page. The firm said it has reset a "bunch of passwords" as a result of that phishing attempt, and that the hacked, high-profile Twitter accounts are now back in control of their owners.
