ConSentry Gets $9.4M, New Executive Team
Milpitas-based ConSentry Networks, a developer of network security hardware, said Wednesday that the firm has raised an additional $9.4M in venture funding, and swapped in a new management team. According to the firm, the round was led by Accel Partners, and also included prior investors DAG Ventures, Invesco Private Capital, Northgate Capital, Translink Capital, and Vedanta Capital. In conjunction with the funding, the firm said it has hired a new EVP of Marketing and Sales, a new EVP of Engineering, and a new VP of marketing. The firm will use the funding to grow and support its sales channel. The firm's new EVP of Marketing and Sales is Rod Kay; Robert Hon is its new EVP of Engineering, and Derek Granath is its new VP of Marketing. Kay joins from TeraChip; Hon joins from Network Physics; and Granath comes from Woven Systems. More information »
