Pandora Adds Lyrics, Other Features

Oakland-based Internet radio service Pandora said Wednesday that the firm has added lyrics to the service. According to Pandora, the firm has partnered with Gracenote to gain access to legal, fully licensed lyrics. The company said that it has added a new lyrics tab which shows the full lyrics for any song playing on the service. The firm also said that it has added features to help listeners find other artists to add to their stations, ability to create "mix" stations for friends, and a way to bulk-buy music from iTunes and Amazon. The new lyrics feature came on the same day that competing, personalized Internet radio service Slacker also announced lyric support.
