Socialcast Raises $1.4M

Socialcast, a provider of social networking tools for the business market, said today that it has raised $1.4M an is plotting a move to San Francisco. According to the firm, $1M of the funding came from True Ventures, with an additional $400,000 from angel investors. GigaOM's Om Malik joins the firm's board of directors along with the move. Malik is a Venture Partner at True Ventures, and the investment represents his first investment in a company.
