Limbo Merges With Brightkite, Gets Funding
Burlingame-based Limbo and mobile social media firm Brightkite announced this morning that the two companies have merged, and scored $9M in funding. According to the two firms, they will operate under the Brightkite name, and will be headquartered in Burlingame. The new funding was led by Nexit Ventures, and occurred in January; the firm said all of its previous investors participated. Limbo had previously raised funding from Azure Capital Partners, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, and New Enterprise Associates. Brightkite was incubated by TechStars, and scored around $1M in funding.
