Adura Names CTO
Adura Systems a manufacturer of electric powertrains for medium to large vehicles, reported today that it has hired David Dewis as chief technical officer. Dewis, whom Adura described as a "renowned microturbine expert," will oversee generator-set technology for inclusion in the company's MESA electric powertrain, which could find its way into mass transportation buses within the next year. Adura said Dewis possesses nearly three decades of microturbine manufacturing experience. Most recently, the Menlo Park-based company noted, he served as vice president and general manager for Wall Colmonoy. Before that, Adura added, he was president and chief operating officer of Elliott Energy Systems, which Calnetix later acquired.
