Google Expands Friend Connect With New Widgets

Mountain View-based Google said Friday afternoon that it has added a number of new gadgets to its Google Friend Connect program. According to google, it has added gadgets to allow sites to promote events, take visitor polls, encourage question and answers, and comment on a site. The firm said the new gadgets were all intended to "strengthen the community" of visitors to sites.
