Sportgenic Names VP

San Francisco-based sports media firm Sportgenic reported this morning that it has hired Peter Bassett as senior vice president of operations. In this role, Sportgenic noted, Bassett will supervise all facets of business operations, content production, strategic product development and account management. Sportgenic said Bassett hails from Millennial Media, where he was senior vice president of global sales. Before that, Sportgenic added, he was senior vice president of advertising sales, operations and product for Community Connect Inc. Sportgenic is venture backed by Adams Street Partners, Alsop Louie Partners, Greycroft Partners, KPG Ventures, and SoftTech VC.
