BlogHer Gains $7M

Redwood City-based women's blogging site BlogHer has raised $7M in an investment round, according to Peacock Equity, the investment fund of GE Capital and NBC Universal. According to Peacock Equity, it joined two other investors--Venrock and Azure Capital Partners--in the round. BlogHer operates a network focused on news, entertainment, and information for women. The funding from Peacock Equity is the second for BlogHer, which made an investment last summer in BlogHer. BlogHer was founded by Elisa Camahort Page, Jory Des Jardins and Lisa Stone.
