Jennerex Raises $5M
San Francisco-based Jennerex, a biopharmaceuticals firm developing oncolytic virus therapeutics targeted at treatment of liver, colon, and lung cancer, said this week that it has raised $5.1M in a funding round as part of a private placement financing. The firm did not disclose source of the new funding, only saying that it came from existing shareholders and new, undisclosed investors. Jennerex said it is anticipating a second close of funding on or before September 15th. The firm said the funding will go towards clinical trials, research and development, general corporate purposes, and to augment its working capital. More information »
