Oracle Gets DOJ Approval On Sun Acquisition
Redwood Shores-based Oracle said Thursday afternoon that it has gained approval from the U.S. Department of Justice, on its acquisition of Sun Microsystems. The firm also said that the DOJ has terminated the waiting period under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act. The sale still needs clearance from the European Commission. Oracle said it would pay approximately $5.6 billion for Sun Microsystems in April.
