Khosla Raises $1B In New Funds
Khosla Ventures, the venture capital firm headed by Vinod Khosla, said this morning that it has raised more than $1 billion in new capital in two new funds. According to Khosla, its new funds are Khosla Ventures III, worth $750M, and Khosla Ventures Seed, worth $250M. As part of the new funds, Khosla has added Gideon Yu and Jim Kim as partners. Yu was most recently CFO of Facebook, and had served as CFO of YouTube and Treasurer/SVP Finance at Yahoo. Kim was most recently at CMEA and GE Capital. Khosla is the co-founder of Sun Microsystems, and also was a General Partner at Kleiner Perkins before starting his own firm.
