NetApp, Microsoft In Cloud Computing Pact

Sunnyvale-based NetApp is in a deal with Microsoft in the virtualization, cloud computing, and storage management area this morning. According to the two firms, they are in a new, three-year agreement for product collaboration and technical integration between the firms. The deal also includes join sales and marketing activities to customers. NetApp and Microsoft said they will collaborate and deliver technology in the areas of virtualization, private cloud computing, and storage and data management. The deal ties together Microsoft's Windows Server 2008 R2, Microsoft Hyper-V Server 2008 R2, Microsoft System Center, and NetApp's storage systems.
