ZeroG Wireless Acquired By Microchip

Sunnyvale-based ZeroG Wireless, a developer of low-power, embedded Wi-Fi semiconductors, has beena cquired by Microchip Technology, Microchip said today . Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Microchip said the buy will strengthen its wireless offerings. ZeroG Wireless was venture backed by Battery Ventures, Cisco Corp., Greylock Partners, and Morgenthaler Ventures, and had last raised $17M in October of 2008.
