SocialGO Gets $800K

Social networking software site SocialGO, which is run by Bright Things plc, said Tuesday that it has received an $800K investment in the site. The round came from Veddis Ventures. According to Bright Things plc, the firm has acquired Get On With It (GOWIT) Ltd., which provided development and support services for SocialGO since 2007. Terms of the acquisition deal were not disclosed. As part of the funding, Vikrant Bhargava of Veddis Ventures joins the firm's board. SocialGO has its U.S. headquarters in Redwood City, and its global headquarters in the UK.
