Glacier Bay Gets $15M

Union City-based Glacier Bay, a developer of power management products for the trucking industry, announced today that it has raised $15M in a Series C funding round. The round came from City Light Capital, as well as The Westly Group and New Enterprise Associates. Glacier Bay said the funding will go towards its climate control systems, ClimaCab, which it says can reduce use of fuel by over 3,000 gallons a year, due to use of an electric auxiliary power unit instead of an idling main truck engine.
