Virgin Green Fund Adds Yahoo's Coppel As Partner

San Francisco-based Virgin Green Fund, the clean technology investment fund backed by Sir Richard Branson's Virgin Group, said today that it has added Toby Coppel, formerly Chief Strategy Officer and Managing Director, Yahoo! Europe, as a Partner at its London office. The firm said that Coppel will focus on European-based opportunities for the fund. Virgin Green Fund said that Coppel oversaw Yahoo's $1 billion investment in Alibaba, and $1.7 billion acquisition of Overture. Coppel has also a founding partner at Windsor Media, which he co-founded with Terry Semel, and also was at Allen & Company and Goldman Sachs.
