Intuit Buys Medfusion

Mountain View-based Intuit said Monday evening that it has acquired Medfusion, a North Carolina-based firm providing online software for healthcare providers. The deal was worth $91M in cash. According to Intuit, the acquisition will accelerate its healthcare strategy. Medfusion provides patient-to-provider communications software-as-a-service.
