NileGuide Buys Localyte

San Francisco-based NileGuide, a online travel planning site, said today that it has acquired Localyte, a site focused on trip planning information. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. NileGuide said the deal includes the Localyte website, underlying technology platform, web community, as well as Localyte's iPhone application, Pocket Sherpa. Localyte's CEO is Guillermo Baensch. NileGuide said it would be integrating elements of Localyte into its own website, and continue to also maintain Localyte.
