Quark Pharmaceuticals Raises $10M

Fremont-based Quark Pharmaceuticals, a developer of RNAi-based therapeutic products, announced Thursday that it has raised $10M in a funding round. The round came from Japanese firm SBI Holdings Group. As part of the funding, Quark said it has added Yoshitaka Kitao and Robert Takeuchi, both of SBI, to its board. Quark's lead candidates are a treatment for wet age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and diabetic macular edema (DME). More information »
