Sling's Krikorian Joins DCM

Menlo Park-based venture capital firm DCM said Wednesday that it has added Jason Krikorian, the co-founder of Sling Media and creator of the Slingbox, as a new General Partner at the firm. DCM announced the addition of Kirkorian along with the commitments for $400M to its DCM Fund VI, and a launch of a Japanese, 200M RMB fund. DCM said that both funds will be focused on cleantech, digital media, and Internet (content, ecommerce, mobile, and cloud computing). DCM said it now has 45 employees spread across Menlo Park, Beijing, and Tokyo, and manages a total of more than $2 billion across six funds.
