GetJar Sees Three Million Downloads Per Day
San Mateo-based mobile application store provider GetJar said today that it has reached three million downloads a day. The firm points users to mobile applications for Android, Blackberry, Java, iPhone, Symbian and Windows Mobile. The firm said it is second only to Apple iTunes. The firm said that its top downloads come from Facebook Mobile, eBuddy Messenger, Nimbuzz, Migg33, Opera Mini browser, Yahoo! Mobile, Google, Yahoo! Mail, Bitstream Bolt Browser, and YouTube. The top handsets being used to download applications from the site are the Sanyo Incognito, Apple iPhone, Samsung Seek, LG Rumor Touch, Samsung Impression, Sanyo 2700, Samsung Instinct, Samsung Solstice, LG Rumor II, and HTC Evo.
