Pancetera Gains First Round of Funding
Santa Clara-based Pancetera, a developer of a virtual appliance for managing storage optimization in virtualized data centers, said today that it has raised a first round of funding. The roun came from Hummer Winblad Venture Partners and ONSET Ventures. Amount of the funding was not disclosed. Pancetera said its virtual appliances help manage storage in virtual environments, including handling of backup, security scans, replication and storage migration over the LAN or WAN. As part of the funding and launch, the firm said it has named Henrik Rosendahl as CEO. Rosendahl was CEO of Thinstall, which was acquired by VMware. More information »
