Zimride Raises $1.2M
San Francisco-based Zimride, which operates an online community and service for ride sharing, has raised $1.2M in funding. The funding came from Floodgate, K9 Ventures, Teddy Downey and Keith Rabois. Zimride's service, which is available schools, companies, and events, allows users to find a way to share rides using a private social network. The firm's customers include Stanford University, UCLA, the University of Michigan, CIGNA, and USC. More information »
