Cirtas Gets $10M
San Jose-based Cirtas Systems, a developer of software which connects enterprises into storage clouds, has raised $10M in a Series A, the firm said today. The round came from NEA, Lightspeed Venture Partners, and Amazon. According to Cirtas, the firm is developing a product called the Bluejet Cloud Storage Controller, which creates an "enterprise storage system" based on Amazon's S3 cloud storage product. The firm said the funding will go towards infrastructure, accelerated development, hiring engineering talent, and scaling marketing, sales, and customer deployment teams.
