Pathwork Diagnostics Scores $30M

Redwood City-based Pathwork Diagnostics, a developer of molecular diagnostics aimed at the oncology market, said today that it has raised $30M in a Series C financing round. The round was led by Alta Partners, and also included prior investors Abingworth, Advent Venture Partners, Novus Ventures, Prospect Venture Partners and Venrock. As part of the investment, David Mack of Alta Partners joins the company's board of directors. The firm said the funding will go to accelerate commercialization of its testing technology to help identify sources of cancer. More information »
