ActivIdentity Acquired By HID Global
Fremont-based ActivIdentity, a publicly held of authentication and credential management products, has been acquired by HID Global, a developer of access card technology and systems. According to ActivIdentity, HID Global's parent firm, ASSA ABLOY, will pay $162M in cash--or $3.25 per share--for the company. HID Global said the buy would help it extend its capabilities in the area of physical and logical access control.
