uCirrus Gets $4M
San Mateo-based uCirrus, a developer of real-time software that takes advantage of multicore processors to process data streams, said this week that it has raised $4M in a new funding round. The round was led by SK Telecom Ventures, and also included Qualcomm Ventures and ATA Ventures. The firm said the funding will go towards customer growth and for its product roadmap. Rob Trice of SK telecom, Mike Hodges of ATA Ventures, and Jack Young of Qualcomm Ventuers all join the board as part of the funding, with Young a board observer. The firm said its product is aimed at accelerating OLTP, OLAP, and EDW applications. More information »
