Yummly Gets $1.85M
Palo Alto-based Yummly said today that it has raised $1.85M in a seed funding, from Harrison Metal Capital, Intel Capital, First Round Capital and angels. As part of the funding, Harrison Metal Capital's Michael Dearing and angel Marcia Hooper has joined the company's board. Yummly is a developer of a semantic recipe search and recommendation site, which helps users search and find recipes from the web. The site differs from existing recipe search sites in that it looks to "learn" a user's taste preferences, likes, and dislikes.
