Kleiner Perkins Funds Clean Technology Prize
Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers is funding a $100,000 award for clean technology businesses, as part of the Rice Alliance business plan competition being held in Texas in April. According to the Rice Alliance, Kleiner Perkins is looking to encourage new businesses and technology for cleaner power, transportation, and water with the prize, which will be selected by judges along with KPCB's John Doerr. The prize is part of a bigger, $1M prize pool at the business competition, which is open to graduate university students. The competition is being held in Houston from April 14-16th.
