Silicon Valley Entrepreneurs Rank High In World's Billionaire List
The latest ranking of the world's top billionaires by Forbes magazine shows that Silicon Valley continues to be a source of the world's biggest fortunes. According to the list, released Thursday, Oracle's Larry Ellison is the top area billionaire, with $39.5 billion in net worth. Ellison ranked number five in the world. Also on the top hundred were Google's Larry Page, worth $19.8 billion and ranked number 24, and co-founder Sergey Brin, ranked number 25, also with $19.8 billion in net worth. Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg was number 52, worth $13.5 billion. Apple's Steve Jobs was number 110, with $8.3 billion. Numerous other Bay Area technology moguls also made the list.
