IO Turbine Scores $8M
San Jose-based IO Turbine, a firm focused on software for optimizing IOPs on VMware server environments, announced today that it has raised $7.75M in a funding round. The round was led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, and also included Merus Capital and angel investors. The firm said its software helps users solve performance issues and I/O bottlenecks, using flash memory. IO Turbine's CEO is Rich Boberg, one of the earliest employees at NetApp. More information »
