eBay Acquires WHERE

eBay said this morning that it has acquired Boston-based WHERE, a provider of a location-based, mobile discovery and advertising service. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. eBay said the acquisition is expected to enhance its position in local and mobile commerce, and help its ability to connect retailers with consumers. WHERE (formerly known as uLocate) was venture backed by GrandeBanks Capital, Kodiak Ventures LP, and Venrock Associates.
