UpMo Gets Bridged

San Jose-based Upmo, which develops a career-focused, social networking application for the enterprise, said this week that it has raised $1.7M in a secured bridge funding round. The round included Brian NeSmith, former President and CEO of Blue Coat Systems, John Belizaire, CEO of FirstBest Systems, and Alvin Smith, co-founder of Saratoga Systems. Upmo is led by Promise Phelon. The firm said the funding will go towards expanding its engineering and product development teams, and to scale operations. More information »
