CouchSurfing International Raises $7.6M
CouchSurfing International, the online operator of a network for finding people to stay with while traveling, and allows people to host travelers, said Thursday that it has raised $7.6M in a funding--and changed from a non-profit to a corporation. The funding came from Benchmark Capital and Omidyar Network. Matt Cohler of Benchmark Capital has joined the company's board, and Todor Tashev of Omidyar Network has joined as a board observer.
