Lookout Sees $40M More For Security Software
San Francisco-based Lookout, the developer of mobile security software headed by John Hering, said today that it has raised $40M in a funding round, led by new investor Andreessen Horowitz. The round also included current investors Khosla Ventures, Accel Partners, and Index Ventures. Jeff Jordan of Andreessen Horowitz joins the company's board as part of the funding round. Lookout said it now has over 12 million users, and is adding around one million users a month for its security applications. Lookout has deals with Verizon, Sprint, and T-Mobile on its mobile threat security product. More information »
