Karmasphere Digs Up $6M

Cupertino-based Karmaphere, which develops Apache Hadoop-based data mining software, announced Thursday afternoon that it has raised $6M in a Series B funding. The funding was led by Presidio Ventures, and also included prior investors Hummer Winblad and US Venture Partners. Karmasphere said the funding will go towards product roadmap and growth, as well as sales and marketing. The company is led by Gail Ennis, and has now raised $11M in funding.
