AGARI Gets $2.5M

Palo Alto-based AGARI, a spinout of Cisco which develops email security tools, said Wednesday that it has raised $2.5M in a Series A funding. The round was led by Alloy Ventures, and also included Battery Ventures, First Round Capital, and Greylock Partners. AGARI helps process email messages to detect phishing and fraud threats to brands and financial firms. The company was founded by Patrick Peterson, who is a Cisco Fellow. AGARI--formerly known as Authentication Metrics--said the funding will go towards scaling its product. More information »
