Twilio Lands $17M In Series C

San Francisco-based Twilio, the provider of cloud-based, telecommunications APIs, said this morning that it has raised $17M in a Series C funding round. The round came from Bessemer Venture Partners and Union Square Ventures. Both are prior investors in the company. Twilio said it now has nearly 100 employees, mostly at its San Francisco headquarters. Twilio said the new funds will go into "aggressive" hiring and international growth. More information »
