Google Taps VMware's Greene For Board

Mountain View-based Google said Thursday that it has tapped Diane Greene, the founder of VMware, to its board of directors. Greene also sits on the board of Intuit. Greene co-founded VMware in 1998, sold it to EMC in 2004, and was head of the firm when it spun back out of EMC and went public in 2007. Green has also served at Silicon Graphics, Tandem Computers, and Sybase and Vxtreme.
