Vigilent Powers Up With $6.7M
El Cerrito-based Vigilent, a developer of energy management systems aimed at the data center, has raised $6.7M in a round, the company said today. The round was led by Accel Partners, out the firm's new Big Data fund. Vigilent said it will use the round to expand its products, expand into new geographic regions, and for staffing. Angels Guarav Garg and Peter Wagner also participated in the funding round. Vigilent is using the analysis of a network of wireless sensors within a data center to help manage air cooling and handling, to better manage energy use in those data centers. More information »
