Moritz Steps Back At Sequoia Due To Incurable Disease
Mike Moritz, the venture capitalist who backed Google, Yahoo, PayPal, and countless other successful firms, told his contacts over the weekend that he is stepping back from the firm, due to being diagnosed with what he described as a "rare medical condition" which "can be managed but is incurable." Moritz said that he will become Chairman of Sequoia Capital, but will step back from daily management of the venture capital firm.
