Diffbot Raises $2M

Palo Alto-based Diffbot, a developer of cloud-based, analysis software which analyzes and helps developers parse web pages, has raised $2M in a funding round. The funding came from Matrix Partners as well as angel investors, including SKy Dayton (EarthLink), Andy Bechtolscheim (Sun Microsystems), Joi Ito, Brad Garlinghouse (YouSendIt), Maynard Web, Elad Gil, Jonathan Heiliger (Facebook), Aaron Lee, and Montgomery Kersten. Diffbot is a company out of Stanford's StartX accelerator program. Diffbot provides it tools via an API, helping developers take and understand the content and pieces of web pages. More information »
