Betable Raises Funding For Gambling API
London-based Betable, which has offices in San Francisco, said Monday that it has launched with the backing of a large list of Silicon Valley venture capitalists and angels. The firm said it is developing a real-money, gambling platform which allows developers to incorporate gambling into their games. The firm--which is licensed in the UK--says its provides an API which allows anyone with basic programming skills to incorporate gambling into their software. The funding came from Greylock Discovery Fund, FF Angel LLC, True Ventures and Yuri Milner, along with Bullpen Capital, CrunchFund, FF Angel LLC, Greylock Discovery Fund, Morado Ventures, Start Fund/DST, Tekton Ventures, True Ventures, Venture 51, and individual investors Marc Abramowitz, Scott Belsky, Reece Duca, Bjorn Evers, Auren Hoffman, Sean Knapp, Andrew Kofman, Howard Lindzon, Chris Larsen, Heather Sue Mercer, Dave Morin, Matt Ocko, Gil Penchina, Joshua Schachter, Arjun Sethi, Josh Spear, John Suliman, David Tisch, and Ray Tonsing.
